Renowned rock singer Robin Tamang passes away at 60

July 5, Kathmandu: Renowned Nepali rock and roll singer Robin Tamang passed away on Tuesday evening. He was 60 years old.

Born in 1963, Tamang rose to prominence during the 2000s with a string of chart-topping hits. He was widely recognized as a visionary and a pioneer of the rock and roll genre in Nepal.

Tamang’s grieving family members have confirmed that he breathed his last on Tuesday evening, and his remains have been transferred to the Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for a post-mortem examination.

Tamang is known for songs such as “Bhool ma bhulyo”, “Chiso Chiso Hawama”, and rock cover of late Arun Thapa’s songs.
