20th Asian Games: Japan defeats Nepal

Kathmandu: Nepal has lost to Japan in women’s volleyball match held under the 20th Asian Games underway in Japan.

The Nepali national women’s volleyball team was defeated by the host, Japan in straight sets. In the match held in Komaki, Japan defeated Nepal with set scores of 25–8, 25–12, and 25–11. Nepal will now play its second match against Indonesia on Thursday.

This marks the second consecutive appearance of the Nepali women’s volleyball team at the Asian Games.

Nepal had previously competed for the first time at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, in 2023.
