Curfews lifted in Sunsari, Dhanusha; Restrictions remain in sensitive areas

Kathmandu: The District Administration Offices of Sunsari and Dhanusha have lifted the curfew orders imposed following recent unrest after reviewing the security situation.

However, prohibitory orders remain in force in sensitive and designated areas of Sunsari and Dhanusha districts until further notice.

The administrations have banned gatherings of more than five people, as well as meetings, rallies, demonstrations, and sit-ins in the restricted areas.

Authorities said the restrictions are aimed at maintaining peace, security, and social harmony.

Likewise, the Siraha District Administration Office lifted the curfew in Lahan Municipality from 10:00 a.m. this morning following a review of the security situation.

However, the curfew order remains in place in the Golbazar area.
