New Year a Time for National Resolve: President Paudel
Kathmandu, April 14: President Ram Chandra Poudel has said the New Year is an important occasion to set common national goals and renew commitment to achieve them.
In his message on the occasion of the New Year 2083 BS, the President extended best wishes for peace, prosperity, good health, and happiness to all Nepalis. He stressed the need for disciplined and civilized conduct to meet national aspirations.
President Paudel said traditional calendars are part of Nepal’s history and civilization, noting that they remind people of the past and inspire them toward a prosperous future. He described the New Year as a time to review past achievements and make resolutions for progress.
Referring to recent elections to the House of Representatives, he said the successful completion of the polls has helped the country move beyond a difficult phase. He added that the mandate reflects people’s expectations for the rule of law, sustainable peace, good governance, and social justice under the federal democratic republic.
The President emphasized unity, inclusion, and commitment to national interests, including safeguarding independence and sovereignty. He expressed hope that the New Year would inspire all to work together with harmony, tolerance, and cooperation to achieve national goals.
