Bhotekoshi flood: Three representatives from Rasuwa still unaccounted for

Rasuwa: It has been a month since the devastating Bhotekoshi flood struck the district.

Three people’s representatives of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality in Rasuwa district are still unaccounted for since the disaster.

The aggrieved families have begun performing death rituals. On August 26, Rural Municipality’s vice chairperson Pratima Lama, Ward No 2 chair Kamichhiring Tamang and Ward No 5 chair Dawa Mingmar Tamang, disappeared in the flooding of the Bhotekoshi River.

Despite ongoing search and rescue efforts by local authorities, security forces and community members in the past month, there is no sign of the missing individuals.
