HoR and National Assembly sessions to focus on budget discussions today
Kathmandu, June 15: Meetings of both houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled for Sunday, with key discussions on the national budget.
The House of Representatives (HoR) will convene at 11:00 am and is set to begin deliberations on the Appropriation Bill. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, lawmakers will hold group-wise discussions on budget allocations under various ministries, including Youth and Labour; Industry, Commerce and Supplies; Agriculture, Forest and Environment; Information and Communications; Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; Education and Sports; and several others.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly (NA) will meet at 1:15 pm for general discussions on the government’s estimates of revenue and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.
Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to respond to concerns raised during the budget discussions in the Upper House.
