Nepal to host International ‘Bodhi Dialogue’ Conference
Kathmandu, June 10: Nepal is set to host an international conference on economic and geopolitical issues titled ‘Bodhi Dialogue’ from June 16 to 19.
Organised by the Centre for Social Innovation and Foreign Policy (CESIF), the four-day conference in Kathmandu will bring together Nepali and foreign experts to discuss Nepal’s economic development prospects and the changing geopolitical landscape in South Asia.
Speaking at a press conference today, CESIF Chairperson and former ambassador Vijay Kant Karna said the conference aims to provide a platform for in-depth and forward-looking discussions on economic, political and geopolitical transformations.
He said recommendations emerging from the conference would be documented and submitted to the government.
According to Karna, the conference has been named Bodhi Dialogue to reflect Nepal’s indigenous knowledge traditions and to support the government’s soft diplomacy efforts.
