New York (USA): The ‘Nepal Day Parade 2026’ will be held in Manhattan, New York, on May 17, bringing together the Nepali diaspora across the USA to celebrate and showcase Nepali culture, identity, and heritage.
The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) NYC chapter will organise the event in collaboration with the Federation of Indigenous Nationalities of Nepal-America (FIPNA) and around 50 community organisations.
The organisers expect the parade to draw about 5,000 participants.
The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Madison Avenue around 28th Street and will officially start at 1:00 p.m., ending near 25th Street.
Streets between Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue will be partially closed during the parade, according to organisers.
They added that cultural performances, traditional attire, music, and dance will be featured to promote Nepal globally and attract tourism interest.
