Fifth Cancer Conference held at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital
Chitwan, April 18: The BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital has organised the Fifth Cancer Conference with the participation of specialist doctors from Nepal and abroad.
Hospital Executive Director Shivaji Paudel said the one-day conference brought together experts from Nepal, India, and China to discuss recent developments in cancer treatment.
Discussions focused on new technologies, medicines, and treatment methods used in cancer care. A total of 30 research papers were presented during the event, including two from India and one from China.
Deputy Director Umesh Nepal said the conference has been organised annually on the hospital’s foundation day for the past five years, although this year’s programme was delayed due to the Gen Z movement.
Around 200 participants, including specialist doctors, nurses, and health workers from different hospitals across Nepal, attended the conference.
Organisers said the event helped strengthen professional exchange and improve knowledge on modern cancer treatment practices.
