Attorney General Dr Kandel sworn in

Kathmandu: Acting Chief Justice of Supreme Court (SC) Sapana Pradhan Malla on Sunday administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed Attorney General Dr Narayan Dutta Kandel. Dr Kandel was sworn in at the Supreme Court amid a function.

On the occasion, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, SC Justices and high-level officials of the judiciary were present.

Earlier today, President Ramchandra Paudel appointed Dr Kandel as the Attorney General at the recommendation of Prime Minister Balendra Shah in accordance with Article 157 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
