RSP’s Shreedhar Pokharel Wins Bardiya-2 Seat
Bardiya, March 8: Shreedhar Pokharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected as the House of Representatives member from Bardiya-2 constituency.
Pokharel secured 29,678 votes, defeating his closest rival, Kishor Singh Rathaur of the Nepali Congress, who received 20,400 votes.
Other contenders included Suresh Panth of the Nepali Communist Party with 19,180 votes and Bimala BK of CPN UML with 10,772 votes.
A total of 92,618 votes were cast in the constituency, of which 4,488 ballots were invalid, according to Election Officer Bishnu Prasad Ghimire.
