RSP’s Kabindra Burlakoti Wins Gorkha-2 Seat
Gorkha, March 8: Kabindra Burlakoti of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the House of Representatives seat from Gorkha-2 constituency.
Burlakoti secured 26,660 votes, defeating his closest rival, Prakash Chandra Duwadi of the Nepali Congress, who received 11,700 votes, according to Election Officer Mohan Prasad Belbase.
Other contenders included Lekhnath Neupane of the Nepali Communist Party with 11,073 votes and Milan Gurung of CPN UML with 3,087 votes.
Out of 108,533 registered voters, 57,156 cast their ballots, with 3,000 votes declared invalid during the election, the election office added.
