Election Commission completes printing of ballot papers for 25 districts ahead of HoR polls

Kathmandu: The Election Commission has completed the printing of ballot papers for a total of 25 districts ahead of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

So far, ballot papers for 11 districts—three in the Far Western Province and eight in the Karnali Province—have been printed and are ready for transportation.

Specifically, ballot papers for Bajura, Achham, and Doti in the Far Western Province, as well as Dailekh, Jajarkot, Kalikot, Jumla, Humla, Mugu, Dolpa, and Rukum West in the Karnali Province, have been printed and packed, according to Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Election Commission.

Under the first-past-the-post system, around 3 million ballot papers have been printed so far, of which 1.621 million have already been packed.
