Cooperative fraud escaped from Nakkhu jail arrested

Kathmandu: Police have arrested Kedar Nath Sharma, the then proprietor of Shiva Shikhar Multi-Purpose Cooperative of, Bhaktapur, on Wednesday.

He is the inmate put in Nakkhu jail on charge of a cooperative fraud. Sharma had escaped from the Nakkhu jail during Gen-Z protest.

A team from Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police nabbed Sharma from Sanepa, Lalitpur and handed him over to the concerned jail administration, said Officiating Spokesperson of CIB, Dharma Raj Bhandari.

According to Jail Management Department, around 7,000 inmates are still on the loose.
