UML Chair Oli stresses on maintaining law and order in the country
Bhaktapur: CPN (UML) Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stressed on the need of maintaining peace, and law and order in the country.
At the greetings exchange programme organised by the Youth Association Nepal in Gundu today, he stated that, having established themselves as peace-loving Nepalis, we must maintain that image by upholding peace and order in the country.
Supporting the demands of the Gen-Z on issues such as controlling corruption and promoting good governance, he said, ‘On the 8th and 9th of September, there was an infiltration in the movement launched by the Gen-Z, sidelining them. The new generation people certainly did not set fire to Singha Durbar, holding the national flag.’
UML Secretariat meeting tomorrow A secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) is scheduled to be held on Sunday to discuss the Gen-Z group’s movement and the new political situation.
The party chairman Oli has called the secretariat meeting for 1:00 pm on Sunday at his residence in Gundu, according to Rajendra Gautam, head of the party’s Central Department of Publicity and Publication.
Gautam said that the meeting would discuss on the current situation of the country, the party’s future role after the Gen-Z movement, organisational strengthening, and future programmes.
