UML parliamentary party meeting underway, focus on budget session of Parliament
Kathmandu: The parliamentary party meeting of the CPN (UML) is currently in progress at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
According to the Prime Minister’s private secretariat, the meeting—chaired by Prime Minister and UML Parliamentary Party Leader KP Sharma Oli— is focused on budget session of Parliament, which began on Friday.
Discussions are also centred on the government’s policy and programme for the new fiscal year, the upcoming budget, and the effective operation of the House.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Oli emphasised the importance of the party’s active and constructive engagement in parliamentary discussions. He also stressed the need for lawmakers to understand the current national context, raise the concerns of the people, and propose practical solutions.
The Prime Minister outlined the roles and responsibilities that party members should adopt in order to effectively address pressing national issues and represent public interests in the House.
