Police Role Vital for Maintaining Law and Order: CM Yadav

Mahendranagar (Dhanusha), March 14: Krishna Prasad Yadav has stressed that strengthening the police organisation and improving its infrastructure are essential to further enhance the country’s law and order situation.

Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony of a new barracks of the Nepal Police at the Madhesh Province Police Office on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that the police play a crucial role in safeguarding national security and therefore should be provided with a supportive working environment.

He emphasised the need to equip the police force with adequate resources and ensure safe and well-managed facilities for personnel to help improve their efficiency and performance.

According to Yadav, police officers are working around the clock to maintain peace and security, and it is the responsibility of the provincial government to improve their basic facilities and working conditions.

On the occasion, Phakira Mahato stated that the provincial government is allocating and managing the budget effectively to modernise the police force and strengthen its capacity.
