Nepal condemns Pahalgam terrorist attack
Foreign Minister Dr Rana expresses grief and Prime Minister Oli condemns the attack

Kathmandu, April 23: Nepal has unequivocally condemned the barbaric terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and express our sincere wishes for the swift and full recovery of those injured”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Nepal stands in steadfast solidarity with the Government and people of India in this time of sorrow.
“In line with our firm and principled position, Nepal condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and believes that such heinous acts of terrorism cannot and should not be justified on any ground”, the statement noted.
According to Indian media reports, as many as 26 people were killed and 10 others were injured in the attack.
Likewise, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arju Rana Deuba said that the Nepal government was deeply shocked and saddened by the heinous terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
Taking to the social networking site X, the Foreign Minister strongly condemn this act of terrorism and the senseless violence that has claimed innocent lives.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this difficult time, and we wish a swift and full recovery to those who have been injured”, she wrote.
Nepal stands in steadfast solidarity with the Government and people of India in this time of sorrow, the Minster noted.
“We are currently verifying reports regarding the possible loss of any Nepali nationals in this tragic incident. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available”, she stated in her message.
Simialrly, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has condemned the terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking to the social networking site X, PM Oli has extended deepest condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
“Nepal stands firmly with India and strongly condemn any and all acts of terrorism”, the PM wrote.
Close coordination has been established with different agencies to verify reports of a Nepali national among the victims, the PM said, expressing commitment to provide all necessary assistance from the government.
