Rain and Snow Likely in Parts of Koshi Today

Kathmandu, Feb 8 – The hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpashchim provinces are expected to remain partly cloudy today, while most other parts of the country will see generally fair weather.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a chance of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province.

The Division has also warned that fog and mist may develop in some parts of the Tarai region during the day. Later tonight, mist is likely to occur at a few places in the Tarai.

According to the weather bulletin issued at 8:00 am, the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki Province, along with Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, are expected to experience partly cloudy conditions tonight, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mainly fair.

The Division stated that partial westerly winds are influencing the current weather pattern.
