KMC to strengthen capacity of public school teachers
Kathmandu, Jan 4: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Education Department has called the teachers of the public schools to participate in capacity-building training during the winter vacation.
Under the ‘Teacher College Program,’ teachers of public schools are being trained. KMC’s City Planning Commission member, engineer Shailendra Jha, said that the training is being conducted as part of the plan to certify the qualifications obtained by the teachers from the university by developing their capacity through the medium of training.
He said the training was being conducted as investment was required for the capacity building of teachers to improve the results of public schools. According to Jha, the vacation is being used in such a way that educational activities are not affected. The objective is to make the educational activities creative by developing the skills and knowledge of the teachers.
