Minister Shrestha entrusted as acting minister for Finance and Foreign Affairs

Kathmandu: Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been entrusted with the responsibility of acting minister for Finance and Foreign Affairs.

Since Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal are out of the country, Prime Minister Balendra Shah has assigned Minister Shrestha to handle both ministries in their absence.

Minister Wagle is visiting the U.S. at the invitation of the World Bank President.

Meanwhile, Minister Khanal is in Fiji to participate in a high-level climate change meeting (‘Pre-COP Leaders Event’).
