Federal parliament keeps intact institutional strength: Speaker Aryal

Kathmandu, Oct 2: Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has claimed that the federal parliament has always remained a strong institution.
During a press conference organized in Singh Durbar on Friday, Speaker Aryal reiterated that the federal parliament has functioned effectively and robustly.
He, however, said it would be inappropriate for him to comment on the matters raised by the House of Representatives members in the parliament. “But, I do not think the parliament is weak,” Aryal asserted.
Speaker Aryal further informed that the parliament will continue to run in accordance with its institutional dignity and established work procedure. “We have been working on behalf of 30 million citizens,” he observed.
He, however, reminded cooperation and responsibilities of all sides- lawmakers, general public, media representatives, and other stakeholders to maintain oversight on the executive. The forthcoming sessions of the National Assembly and the House of Representatives will be held in the newly constructed building, Speaker Aryal hoped.
