Free eye camp benefits 187 people

Birgunj (Parsa), Oct 3: A free eye camp held at Jagarnathpur Rural Municipality-6, Bahuari, in Parsa, benefited 187 people.

The camp was organized by the Forum for Awareness against Dowry and Social Evils with the support of the Community Eye Center to provide easy access to eye check-ups and treatment services to economically disadvantaged communities.

According to the Forum’s president, Brijeshwar Prasad Chaudhary, 187 people got their eyes examined at the camp.

During the check-ups, 34 out of 63 people showing symptoms of cataracts were given medicine and eye drops.

The Forum stated that patients with cataract issues will undergo free surgery at the Community Eye Center in Birgunj on October 5 (Monday.

Dr. Mahesh Singh Ghami was the primary doctor to provide eye examination services at the camp. RSS
