US to Provide Additional $31 Million for Nepal’s Flood Recovery

Kathmandu, Sept 24: The United States is set to provide 31 million US dollars in assistance to Nepal.

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker announced the support during a meeting with Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal in New York.

Of the assistance, 10 million dollars is planned for post-flood reconstruction, while eight million dollars will be provided for drinking water and sanitation, as well as housing and livelihood support for communities affected by the floods.
