12 trapped in Banganga River rescued

Kapilvastu: A group of 12 individuals who had been trapped in the Banganga River after a flood have been rescued.

They were trapped at Barmeli of Kapilvastu Municipality-6 and later rescued safely by the Armed Police Force (APF). A team from the APF No-28 battalion promptly reached the site once it was reported about the incident.

The group comprising 11 females and a male was evacuated to safety.

They are Gopi Pariyar, 70; Kirali Pariyar, 70; Kabita Kumal, 24; Rami Bayambu, 38; Mina Bayambu, 32; Belmati Sunar, 45; Sushma GC, 45; Lalumaya Shrestha, 18; Laxmi Pariyar, 34; Bina BK, 40; Binda Thapa, 24; and Resham Pariyar, 37.
