China sends emergency supplies and tunnel rescue experts   

Kathmandu: Neighbouring China has sent four tunnel rescue experts along with emergency rescue supplies and equipment to the flood-affected areas of Rasuwa.

The rescue team and relief materials arrived in Nepal on Sunday morning aboard two large cargo planes of the Chinese Air Force.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun, and House of Representatives member Dharma KC, among others, welcomed the Chinese rescue team at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

The two cargo planes arrived from Shuangliu International Airport in Chengdu, China, after a flight of around three hours.

According to the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, the planes are carrying 13,200 pieces of relief supplies, including tents, blankets, sleeping bags, packaged dry food and first-aid supplies.
