On Air Station:

Petroleum products to be supplied through alternative routes

Kathmandu: With the traffic obstruction along the Krishnabhir section of Prithvi Highway in Benighat Roran Rural Municipality-7 following the flood in Trishuli river this morning, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has ensured alternative routes to supply fuel including LP gas in the Kathmandu Valley and the adjoining districts.

Issuing a press statement today, the NOC said that the provision was ensured after holding interaction with the LP gas industrialists since there could be issues in cooking gas supplies with the road disruption.

As per the decision, the gas industries in Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Nawalparasi and other districts will refill the gas cylinders by coordinating with other gas industries by stating the numbers of their empty gas bullets.

Likewise, supply system will be ensured through alternative routes for the distribution of cooking gas in Kathmandu and the adjoining districts by keeping the LP gas cylinders in the trucks until the road along the Krishnabhir resumes, the NOC stated.

The tankers and trucks carrying the petroleum products and LP gas could use alternative routes to reach Kathmandu in coordination with the local administration.
