Warning against creation of artificial shortage of cooking gas

Birgunj (Parsa): The local authority here has warned of legal action against those involved in the creation of an artificial shortage of cooking gas.

Assistant Chief District Officer in Parsa, Krishna Thapa, informed RSS that the district administration would take action against anyone involved in the artificial shortage of daily essential LP gas.

The persons involved in such acts would be taken punitive measures in accordance with the ‘Black Marketing and Some Other Social Crime and Punishment Act, 2032’ and the ‘Consumer Protection Act, 2075’.

The dealers hoarding cooking gas and fueling the shortage may face confiscation of the gas, hefty fines, and even jail terms.
