On Air Station:

Telecom to provide new SIM cards for lost ones via online

Kathmandu: In line with a 10-point reform plan launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications, Nepal Telecom has introduced an online service to obtain SIM cards for lost or damaged ones.

Spokesperson at Nepal Telecom, Kamal Lamichhane, informed that this scheme was launched to expand digital services, convenience service delivery and develop a customer-friendly system.

With the new scheme in place, the customers can apply for a new physical or electronic SIM card through the telecom’s electronic service portal by providing the necessary information.

Once the application is processed, customers can collect their new SIM from the designated service centre- personally or through a representative. The communications facility has adopted measures to ensure privacy and security.

The initiative reflects a broader commitment to improving service quality, strengthening customer support and expanding digital services within Nepal Telecom.

The company has prioritised broader schemes that enhance quality, ensure mobile service management and make administrative processes hassle-free. Enforcement of the one-time registration system for customer details is also stressed.

Establishment of a help desk for unified service at all Nepal Telecom offices, improvement to 4G quality in mobile service, and the elimination of automatic balance deductions upon expiry of data limits are other priorities. RSS
