Energy Minister visits Marsyangdi Power Plant

Damauli (Tanahun): Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, the Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, has conducted an inspection of the Marsyangdi hydropower project’s power house.

During the visit, Minister Shrestha gathered information from the project’s technical staff regarding the various structures, equipment, and operational conditions of the power plant.

On this occasion, Minister Shrestha highlighted the significant role of hydropower projects in ensuring the country’s energy security and stressed the importance of enhancing production capacity and fortifying infrastructure.

Sher Mohammad Hussain, the project head, provided Minister Shrestha with details about the power plant, which currently generates a total of 69 MW of electricity.
