Foreign Affairs Minister Khanal leaves for four-day official visit to China

Kathmandu: Foreign Affairs Minister Shishir Khanal has left for Beijing today on a four-day official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Khanal will hold bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on strengthening Nepal-China relations and expanding mutual cooperation. He is also scheduled to meet senior Chinese officials during the visit.

As part of his programme, Minister Khanal will attend an investment conference organised by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing to promote foreign investment in Nepal.

The embassy will also host a reception in his honour, during which the Foreign Minister is scheduled to interact with members of the Nepali community in China.

Minister Khanal is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 17.
