Rs 4 lakh 58 thousand revenue collected in traffic action in the last 24 hrs

Kathmandu: In the last 24 hours, a total of 2,408 motorists have been penalised for breaching traffic regulations, resulting in a revenue collection of Rs 4 lakh 58 thousand.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, among those penalised, 140 individuals were caught driving under the influence of alcohol, 116 were involved in illegal ride-sharing, 138 violated traffic signal rules, and 284 were found speeding.

Similarly, 85 motorists failed to adhere to lane discipline, 106 were penalised for honking in restricted areas, 124 parked their vehicles in road zones, 116 drove on one-way streets, and 1,335 were punished for various other traffic violations. RSS
