Himalaya Airlines to Launch Direct Kathmandu–Shenzhen Flights from June 4
Kathmandu, June 2: Himalaya Airlines is set to begin direct flights between Kathmandu and Shenzhen, one of China’s major economic and technology centres, from June 4.
According to the airline, the Kathmandu–Shenzhen–Kathmandu service will operate twice a week. Flights from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport to Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while return flights from Shenzhen to Kathmandu will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The airline said the new route is aimed at strengthening air connectivity between Nepal and China and facilitating travel between the two countries.
Vice Chair of Himalaya Airlines, Bijay Shrestha, expressed confidence that the direct service would contribute to the growth of tourism and trade by improving access between Kathmandu and Shenzhen.
The launch of the new route is expected to provide travellers and businesses with greater convenience while supporting broader economic and people-to-people exchanges between Nepal and China.
