Ward Member Dies in Jeep Accident in Parbat

Parbat, June 2: A ward member died and two others were injured in a jeep accident in Kusma Municipality of Parbat district last night.

The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old ward member Keshab Raj Paoudel.

According to police, the jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5865) fell around 500 metres off the road at Arthardandakharka of Kusma Municipality-14 while heading towards Charipani from the ward office.

Paoudel was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Pokhara for treatment, where doctors declared him dead shortly after arrival.

Two others, jeep driver Buddhi Sagar Paudel, 27, and Rajendra Paudel, 46, are receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital in Pokhara. Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
