Nepal gives 290-run target to UAE in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2

Kathmandu: Nepal has set a 290-run target for the United Arab Emirates in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match after posting 289 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs.

Batting first after winning the toss, Nepal built a competitive total, powered by a century from Dipendra Singh Airee, who scored 100 runs, anchoring the innings with a solid performance.

Binod Bhandari made a strong comeback to the national side after four years, contributing a valuable 56-run half-century. His innings added stability in the middle order and helped Nepal maintain momentum.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old Arjun Kumal made his international debut for Nepal, scoring 11 runs in his first appearance for the national team.

Other batters also chipped in with useful contributions to push Nepal close to the 290-run mark.

Chasing 290, the UAE side will now aim to build a steady response as the match continues under the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 competition.
