Private sector pledges cooperation for reconstruction

Kathmandu: Rajendra Malla, Chairperson of the Non-Life Insurance Association and immediate past President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), has pledged cooperation from the private sector for the reconstruction of national property.

At a meeting with Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal at Singhadurbar today, Malla emphasised the need to institute a relief fund for reconstruction after assessing the loss of national assets during the Gen Z protests.

“We are ready to support the government from the private sector and at a personal level for rebuilding vital government structures, including Singhadurbar, parliament building and Supreme Court”, he said, adding all concerned stakeholders must act responsibly for economic prosperity, keeping good governance at the centre.
