16 teachers injured as bus plunges in Jhapa
Jhapa: Sixteen teachers were injured after a bus carrying teachers from Kathmandu plunged at 5:30 this morning at Shivasatakshi Municipality-9 in Jhapa district.
Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jhapa, Milan Kumar KC, confirmed that the bus (Pra 1-01-001-Kha 42) plunged at Dudhe section of the East-West Highway, leaving 16 people injured.
It is said that the bus was carrying the protesting teachers from Kathmandu.
The injured ones are receiving treatment at Birta City Hospital and B and C Hospital in Jhapa.
Of the injured, the health condition of teacher Gopal Khatiwada is critical.
