Dhruba Chandra awarded with ‘Rastriya Lekhak Puraskar’

Kathmandu, April 20: The Nepali Writers’ Association has decided to confer the ‘Rashtriya Lekhak Puraskar-2082′ on a noted litterateur, Dhruba Chandra Gautam.

The meeting of the Association’s office bearers held today decided in this regard. The award, carrying a purse of Rs 100 thousand, will be handed over to Gautam during a function to be organized on April 29. The day coincides with the anniversary of the Writers’ Association.

Similarly, Association Chairman Biyogi Budhathoki informed that the Writers’ Day would be observed across the country on April 29. The meeting also decided to nominate Anupama Regmi, Babu Tripathi, Surendra Asthafal, Kumar Dahal, Jivan Acharya, Bishnu Bahadur Daulyal, Madhusudhan Pokharel, Manjushree Giri, Tilak Raut and Nabin Chirag as its central committee members.

The Association has formed a central secretariat having all office bearers and members- Anupama Regmi, Babu Tripathi, Sudarshan Acharya, Mahendra Wagle, Indra Lamsal and Santosh Bohara.
