MoU signed to make Nepal’s aviation sector safe

Kathmandu: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Airlines Operators Association of Nepal and the Aeronautical Society of Nepal to make Nepal’s aviation sector safer, more sustainable, and moreresilient.

Both organizations have agreed to collaborate in the overall development of Nepal’s aviation sector, capacity building, research, innovation and exchange of knowledge.

The Airlines Operators Association brings together representative association of the aviation industry while the Aeronautical Society of Nepal has been working in the field of technical knowledge, research and professional development.

As per the agreement, training will be conducted in the aviation sector on human resource development, leadership promotion, operations, engineering, maintenance, safety management, and new technology.

The MoU mentions the development of ‘safety culture’ in the aviation sector, expansion of the use of emerging technologies including digitalization, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and sharing of knowledge and experience at the national and international levels.

Similarly, the agreement includes organizing seminars, conferences, and workshops related to the aviation sector, shared Pratap Jung Pandey, President of the Airline Operators Association.
