Newly-appointed Executive Chair of Public Service Broadcasting Agency Dr. Bista takes oath of office and secrecy

Kathmandu: Executive Chairperson of the Public Service Broadcasting Agency Dr. Mahendra Bista has taken the oath of office and secrecy.

The Chairperson of the Public Service Broadcasting Council and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly-appointed Executive Chairperson Dr. Bista at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology on Monday.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held last Friday decided to appoint Dr. Bista as the Executive Chairperson. Dr. Bista had earlier become the Executive Chairman of Nepal Television.

The government had brought the Public Service Broadcasting Act a few months ago to operate Nepal Television and Radio Nepal under a single management.

Dr. Bista was appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Public Service Broadcasting Agency in accordance with the same act.
