Bhotekoshi floods: 70 injured return home after treatment

Kathmandu: Among the people injured in the August 26 Bhotekoshi floods brought to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (Maharajgunj) for treatment, 70 have already returned home after recovery.

A total of 70 of the 84 injured patients brought to the hospital have returned home by this evening, said Dr Gopal Sedhain, the hospital’s spokesperson.

Meanwhile, eight of the injured patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital, including Min Bahadur Shrestha, Pabitra Karki, Rajendra Bhatta, Tej Bahadur Tamang, Maheshwar Shah, Nima Dorje Tamang, Chandika Shrestha, and Salina Bhujel.

Spokesperson Dr Sedhain also noted that four individuals who initially arrived at the hospital were subsequently referred to other hospitals for treatment.

The hospital reported that one injured person brought to the TUTH passed away during the course of treatment.
