Ministry of Labour hosting Skills and Employment Fair

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Youth, Labour, and Employment has decided to organize a nationwide Skills and Employment Fair as part of the ‘Decade of Employment Promotion.’

A meeting chaired by the Labour Minister on Thursday took the decision as per the ‘Skills and Employment Fair Operation Guidelines, 2083’. The Skills and Employment Fair is being held in Itahari, Koshi Province to start with.

The Ministry aims to advance this initiative as a national campaign, eventually extending it to other provinces as well. Following the meeting, Minister of Youth, Labour, and Employment, Ramjee Yadav, emphasized the need to make Nepal’s labour market more attractive.

He stated that collaboration and coordination between the government and the private sector are essential to convey a positive message demonstrating that it is indeed possible to find employment and become an entrepreneur within Nepal.
