Former President Yadav calls for contribution to develop nation

Lalitpur: Former President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has described individuals who contribute to the nation and society as the truly successful and dedicated Karma Yogis, while appealing to them to continue their contributions to the country’s development.

Speaking at the ‘Asian Professional Achievement Award Nepal 2026’ grand award ceremony organized by Season Media in Lalitpur on Sunday to honor individuals and institutions for their outstanding contributions in professional fields, he remarked that the event provided a significant opportunity to recognize achievers from Nepal and other Asian nations.

Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman, praised the award program as a platform that honors excellence, dedication, and contribution within Asian society. He noted that the event inspires everyone including the youth to engage in social service and strengthens people-to-people ties and cultural cooperation between Nepal and Bangladesh.

Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Dhanraj Acharya, expressed gratitude to the organizers for honoring individuals who have contributed across various sectors, noting that success is achieved through persistent dedication.

He also urged the award recipients to remain active and socially responsible.
