China to continue sharing meteorological forecasts information with Nepal
Kathmandu: China has announced to continue sharing information with Nepal regarding emergency hydrological monitoring.

The Kathmandu-based Chinese Embassy clarified that the assistance related to information sharing is to help for rescue and disaster relief efforts.
The assistance, according to the embassy, also includes information about river obstructions and risks arising from glacial lakes. China’s meteorological body has stated that it has been providing Nepal with services related to weather monitoring, weather forecasting, early warnings, and impact assessment since occurrence of massive landslide on the Kerung-Rasuwa border between China and Nepal.
The Chinese authorities have also claimed that immediately after disasters, they have consulted Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology via video on weather issues and have been actively providing weather-related support for Nepal’s rescue and relief operations.
