All-party meeting calls for social harmony in Siraha

Janakpurdham: An all-party meeting held at the Siraha District Administration Office on Wednesday decided to maintain social harmony in the community and take legal action against those who vandalise public and private property in the name of protests.

The meeting concluded that a mechanism would be established, regular meetings would be held, and decisions would be effectively implemented to ensure social harmony in the community.

Similarly, the meeting’s decisions will be widely publicised.

Chief District Officer of Siraha, Surendra Paudel, said the meeting decided to organise programmes to promote social harmony with the participation of political parties, civil society members, representatives of different religious faiths and others.

Likewise, details will be collected, and legal actions will be taken against those spreading fake news and unnecessarily provoking issues through social networking sites, Paudel added.

The meeting also expressed sorrow over the incident that occurred at Dewangunj Rural Municipality in Sunsari district. RSS
