Landslide blocks Narayangadh–Muglin highway; traffic completely halted

July 28, Kathmandu: Vehicular movement along the key Narayangadh–Muglin road section has been completely disrupted following a landslide near Muglin early Tuesday morning.
According to local authorities, the debris fell near the public toilet located in Ichhakamana Rural Municipality–7, bringing all traffic to a total standstill.
Efforts to clear the road are currently underway. Chief of the District Traffic Police Office in Chitwan, Police Inspector Anil Thapa, confirmed that clearance equipment has been deployed to the site. Police estimate it will take at least two hours to clear the landslide and safely restore two-way traffic.
The unexpected blockade has left hundreds of passenger and cargo vehicles stranded mid-route along the crucial highway corridor.
