Hetauda-made ‘Mother’s Magic’ soaps receive EWG ‘Non-Toxic’ certification

Kathmandu: A Nepali brand produced in Hetauda has received international recognition after “Mother’s Magic,” an industry established in Hetauda by woman entrepreneur Nur Rani Dhungel, obtained the “Non-Toxic Verification” certification from the US-based Environmental Working Group (EWG).
At a time when demand for safe, chemical-free and environmentally friendly products is increasing in the market, the Hetauda-based local industry has received the prestigious international quality certification.
Established with the objective of protecting consumer health and the environment, the industry has been producing completely chemical-free and safe soaps under the “N’Aura” brand.
The brand currently produces ten varieties of soaps, including Rhododendron, Coffee, Saffron Turmeric, Lavender, Himalayan Pink Salt, Oats & Honey, Goat Milk, Charcoal, Beer and Hemp.
Expressing happiness over the achievement of bringing international recognition to both Hetauda and the country, founder and operator Nur Rani Dhungel said : “We are fully responsible toward consumer health and the environment. While our industry is currently focused on soap production, we are preparing to introduce hand wash and various household cleaning products in the coming days.”
In a Nepali market dominated by foreign chemical-based products, the achievement of a domestic environmentally friendly brand made using locally available natural resources receiving such a prestigious international certification is being viewed as a proud accomplishment for both Hetauda and Nepal’s industrial sector.
N’Aura soaps are available at AR Mart in Hetauda, while in Kathmandu they are available at Big Mart and Bhatbhateni supermarkets. They are also available online through Daraz Nepal.
