PM’s Office Launches Portal to Collect Suggestions on Budget Formulation

Kathmandu: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has launched a ‘Suggestion Collection Portal’ to ensure direct participation of the general public in the process of formulating policies, programs and budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
This digital platform has been launched with the aim of making governance more transparent and people-oriented by incorporating the real needs and fundamental expectations of the people in the policies and programs that will be made public next Monday.
Through this portal, all Nepali citizens, experts, and policymakers living in the country and abroad will be able to submit their important opinions and suggestions directly to the government regarding budget formulation and development priorities.
According to Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s press and research expert, Deepa Dahal, this step is in line with the Prime Minister’s main plan to respect the feelings and expertise of the general public rather than limiting the government’s policy-making process to the administrative sphere.
