Four journalists honoured in Pathari

Pathari (Morang), April 18: Four journalists have been honoured on the occasion of the 22nd annual general meeting and assembly of Sanchar Club Nepal held in Pathari, Morang.

At a programme organised on Thursday, journalist Keshav Niraula was awarded the ‘Dataram–Padmawati Khatiwada Memorial Journalism Award’ along with a cash prize of Rs 10,000.

Similarly, Durga Prasad Khatiwada received the ‘Durgaraj Pomu (Limbu) Memorial Journalism Award’, Santosh Gautam was honoured with the ‘Lilagoma Acharya Memorial Journalism Award’, and Santosh Rai received the ‘Sanchar Club Nepal Journalism Award’. Each award carried a cash prize of Rs 10,000.

The awards were presented by Minister of State for Physical Infrastructure of Koshi Province, Shobha Chemjong.

Club President Kumar Khadka said the convention will also elect a new leadership during the ongoing assembly.
