Kailali Customs collects Rs 6.32 billion revenue in nine months
Attariya (Kailali), April 18: The Kailali Customs Office has collected Rs 6.32 billion in revenue during the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2025/26.
According to Information Officer Prakash Timilsina, the office mobilised Rs 2.29 billion from customs duties, Rs 2.52 billion from value-added tax, Rs 119.9 million from excise duty, and Rs 1.03 billion from other sources during the review period.
He said the office has achieved 65.15 percent of its annual revenue target, which stands at Rs 9.71 billion for the current fiscal year.
Timilsina also shared that in the previous fiscal year 2024/25, the customs office had set a target of Rs 11.16 billion and collected Rs 8.66 billion, achieving 77.67 percent of the goal.
Officials said revenue performance has remained steady, although short of annual targets in both fiscal years.
